Sundance Resources Ltd is an exploration company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: SDL). We are progressing feasibility studies on our Mbalam Iron Ore Project in partnership with local investors and the Governments of Cameroon and Congo.
Our pre-feasibility study has concluded that the Mbalam Project has the potential to be a world scale iron ore producer, one of the largest in Africa. Led by a highly experienced team with extensive iron ore and project development experience, we have completed the first phase of a significant exploration program at Mbalam. This has defined sufficient hematite resources to support production of 35 million tonnes per annum for 25 years.
As we progress definitive studies, we require a Commercial Director and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and talented professionals who can join our team to assist in driving the development of the Mbalam Project and achieve our vision of establishing a global iron ore business.
This senior strategic commercial role reports to the CEO and is responsible for the development and implementation of high level commercial and financing activities to maximise Project and shareholder value.
The role will be key in the development and negotiation of joint venture agreements, sales contracts, construction strategies and contracts, operational strategies and contracts, and Government agreements. A key activitiy will be the management and negotiation of the project financing package, both equity and debt, in conjunction with the Company’s financing, accounting, tax and legal advisors.
The role will also involve investor, shareholder and Government presentations in support of the above activities and direction and coordination of merger and acquisition opportunities.
The successful candidate will have a strong commercial, finance and analysis background and qualifications together with extensive senior commercial and contracts experience. You will also have successfully led commercial activities and financing associated with major project joint ventures to realise significant value and maximise growth opportunities. You will also have a detailed understanding of mining, resources and/or infrastructure projects, with proven expertise in international commodities businesses.
Exposure to Chinese customers and markets in a similar role will be highly regarded.
