That is one possible outcome out of a few, however 6.5 c is an important point. It could gap up, down or start neutral - no one knows. It is what it does after that is critical. This is where the SP can indicate the direction of the move in the short term. A retracement also doesn't mean momentum is lost and often acts to build on the existing one.
Sps can behave in illogical function when considering FA, even when good. At times it can have an immediate positive response and keep galloping ahead. At other times the news has been factored in and there is minimal movement while there are also times (too frequent for my liking) where the damn sp gets sold down after news. This is where the points can be important in the ST.
