Correct and POTUS recently announced that they are now focused on “out-competing China”, armed with a deeper understanding of their rivals intentions. The era of them getting a ‘leg up’ through the west’s technology is over. If the U.S. has possession of unique tech that gives them an edge over a now fierce rival they will take it selfishly, use it and keep it to themselves for as long as is possible.
I view wbt’s/leti’s tech as that sort of an edge.
