Re possible future China deal
While I am super pleased that Skywater, a US fab, appears to be (not yet official) the first to take us on, I really really doubt that this will be an exclusive deal, and in fact, we will be looking at signing a deal with a chinese fab (Sien)? at some point in the future. Tech is not exclusive, as it can always ultimately be re-engineered eventually.
A much smarter business proposition will be to licence in china under the right conditions. That is, make it more worth their while to pay us rather than steal from us, but with the right oversight. I'd much rather hear about a deal with china at some time in the future, than read about another blatant rip off, which we know they dont even try to hide. This US deal will provide good leverage in that sense.
Long term, this (alleged) deal with Skywater will just be the first amongst many, and the tech will have to go global.
