Hi Katy - echo the sentiments for the interesting links.
In terms of posters - having a nice design - layout etc helps attract peoples attention and makes them stop. Someone nice to talk to is good - but just as important is someone who knows something - and is not just a PR person - because half the reason for stopping and chatting is to try and learn things that you cant pick up reading a copy of the poster / paper on your own.
Its probably not a big ask that the poster (from the date it is on display at the conference) is put up on the company's web-site. Its hardly sensitive etc at that point - and might provide a bit more information that shareholders might find useful.
