I not an expert on these types of wells, but it quite obvious that they didn't expect so much gas and as I can see it they still don't have a handle on what the stable flow rate might be, ie gas plus oil.

Ideally with a few days production, then shut in and so on we might get a firmer idea.

But why waste the gas if you can sell it even at the low prices currently in the USA, what they want is the good liquids.

The gas is just a bonus
