Yes this is exactly right and is what I attempted to communicate to them.

Now read ASX Listing rule 3.1 and explain how on earth the name of a PRIVATE EQUITY (i.e. non publicly listed entity) is deemed to be material.

They were only 5 days late in issuing the trading halt (after an email bought it to their attention) and now appear to have misinterpreted their own listing rules. Really really keen to understand how a name is so material to the price...
