Not knowing the "law" or how the contract is written, most house owners.. would think (rightly or wrongly) that an exclusive agreement lasts as long as the real estate agency has your listing..not until you die...
So if I sign a 3 month agreement 'exlusive" it is wrong to approach another agent during that time etc... but after the three months...the have already recouped most of their costs due to the loading % on advertising etc...I owe them nothing in my opinion...
