No. I am saying gold derivatives can create the same financial problems as mortgage and equity derivatives. If the derivatives is so huge that it begins to dictate the price of the physical then problems we see today will happen to gold.
Derivatives can be wiped out by many means. Company going bust, defaults, manipulation,etc.
