Although, a tax on Chinese EVs would be right out of Trumps playbook. Act like you're tough on China and EVs without hurting American EVs. More importantly he has to win the election - she is female and black but she just might do it. Unfortunately, my moral compass is still intact so I'm hoping Kamala wins - at least there may be a (personal) silver lining if she doesn't...
