Yep looks like a >50% discount, BHP would be happy with that...great timing or luck...i think the latter
i bet WES are kicking themselves at the moment.
At 3.4 - 1 the current offer is a ballpark 35% premium to RIOs current SP, could be a nice backdoor to some cheap BHP shares.
Watch RIOs SP fly when the insiders make a move.
If the takeover goes through BHP would have a lions share of the market.
Im still a bit hesitant about talk of a rally at the moment. Every, and i mean every, rally has fizzled.
But as you say, it has been a rapid decline and there is definitely some room for a rally.
There is definitely room for a rally on the DOW which would be a positive for our overall market.
