    According to this website (https://www.nsenergybusiness.com/features/top-iron-ore-producing-countries/) Russia is a baby at the moment, only exported 95M tonnes compared to 900M Australia and 400M Bazil.

    Could they build more? Yeah its possible, the world is against them at the moment though so it would be a rough road. You are correct they have the third biggest reserves.... whats the logistics of them though?

    Certainty something to think about, but so is inflation and BHP I would argue would be a good counter to rising inflation and rates.

    I personally would like BHP to slowly transition from IO towards potash and also other green tech comms like lithium/copper/nickel and they are starting to do so. Like everything IO is finite and there is predictions/models of only another 50 years of mining it in total. Unless that turns into another 'peak oil'.

    Certainty rather be with BHP than RIO or FMG for the above reasons.
