In the past week, there have been longer articles in leading Austrian media about the Australian-American company European Lithium, which owns 83 percent of the shares in Critical Metals Corp, which, in addition to being interested in buying up Tanbreez and thus taking over the license at Killavaat Alannguat in South Greenland , also sits on a lithium project in the Austrian city of Carinthia.

In fact, European Lithium has been sitting on the Wolfsberg Lithium project since 2011, but to date there are still a number of approvals missing, including an EIA (environmental impact assessment) and not least money. And according to the two Austrian newspapers Wiener Zeitung (August 6, 2024) and Der Standard (August 12, 2024) , there is not much progress in the project, and the question is therefore whether it is about mining at all or whether rather, it is about stock speculation.
