Council to withdraw approval for Bentley anti-gas protest camp
Anti-gas protesters staying at a temporary camping ground at Bentley are set to be dealt a double blow.
Opponents of the industry have been staying on land adjacent to the site where Metgasco plans to drill a test well.
But the Richmond Valley Council will not renew approval for the camp when it lapses this Friday.
General manager John Walker says council conditions have been ignored, and an application to increase the site's capacity will be rejected..
