I don't think there has been any change to the study conditions, or a further delay. Neither of those things is grounds for a trading halt. Also, a management buyout is highly unlikely at this stage.
More likely, IRD is figuring out how to set the announcement PDF to A4 rather than Letter, and taking the opportunity to think about the results over the weekend.
IRD is a well-watched company and there could be a flurry of media/analyst coverage after the halt ends next week. The numbers should be in line with expectations (e.g. opex $60/t).
