This rumour does show that CBA are keen to run their business leaner. All their up and coming competitors in the FINTech market run their business on an oily rag, which scares CBA as they are haunted by legacy infrastructure and inefficient/out-dated business practices (as the rc pointed out).
Not saying this is by any means directly linked to the IAM trial, but one would be a fool to not admit this shows CBA are not looking to change their ways. Which is exactly the attitude IAM products support.
Just my two cents, go forth and tear it apart as you see fit. I'm in it till glory or bust, GLTAH, but commentators can f@$& off.
