The Commonwealth plans to completely phase out the 34 cent per litre excise tax exemption for biofuels as well as the cleaner fuels grant scheme from 2015.

This will make it 34 cents more expensive per litre for ARW to produce biodiesal, which will be the death of this company.

If I still owned ARW shares I would be writing to the Commonwealth to complain about this.

"From July 2011, domestic and imported ethanol will be eligible fuels for the cleaner fuels grants scheme, with phasing out over the next five years in line with the grants for biodiesel. Initially, this grant will partially offset the excise and customs duty payable on fuel ethanol and will be progressively reduced in annual instalments, ceasing on 1 July 2015."
