Hi Thor, you are correct they used ASX CFD's which were pewtrid. Spread too big but SAFE. Few stocks.
They started their own CFD's I think they basically use IG markets but inherently Commsec is safer AND they will guarantee stops 5% out should market CRASH so safety better.
Also their trading is cheaper at present (for newbies) to get more people using it. I think their service is so good because they have fewer people.
The site is great and the statements FANTASTIC for tax purposes. Easy and full, takes no brains to do end of year returns.
They trade about 800 stocks as far as I am aware. Overseas markets and forex included.
