Back when the ASX went public, I think Sept '98 the price was flirting with $5.00, the first day it closed over $5.00 I had a bid sitting on the screen at $5.03 (30k shares) during the auction period at that moment the power went off, when I got back on I saw someone had bid over me and the stock closed at $5.07. the next day the shares opened at $6.45. I've never held shares in the asx to this day.. I think 30000 today including dividends would be worth aroun $2.9m somewhere there..
