I think I might have erred….thinking about it overnight … it was a normal sell order to limit my losses.
I had the misunderstanding it wouldn’t be triggered until lit reached the sell value but the rest of my comments about the way Commsec treats sell orders is correct.
They aim to sell the share at the highest price over the sell price.
Since the current price was above my stipulated sell price it was sold instantaneously.
I was hoping u wouldn’t have read it by this morning….with my intention to get it deleted.
Trailing sell order was what I should’ve used!
Sorry, like I said I’m basically a novice and it took me 3 cycle of buying and selling to actual keep the share that I wanted to keep.
