I have just noticed this. The volume traded and number of shares traded totals aren't right. The course of trades column shows trades from today but the data there is not matching the qtys displayed for the other 2. I thought they might be including all of yesterday's volumes but on some of my stocks the volumes displayed are less than yesterday's total so that can't be it.

I suspect what is happening is that the reference point for the counting of trades and volume is normally at the end of yesterday's Closing Single Price Auction session. But with the recent change of post 4pm trading and the introduction of the small window known as Post Close where you can trade at the fixed price they possibly have not moved their reference point to the end of that timeframe. So the totals are including the trade from that window yesterday but not listing them in the course of trades section. This might have been happening from June 23 when the change happened but was not partticularly noticed until today because being the end of the fin year there may been a large number of people trying to get trades done by the end of yesterday and using the the Post Close session. Annoying. The totals are misleading. I will try and let CommSec know. They might argue that technically the last session is called Post Close and therefore can't include that data in yesterday's trade. But if that is the case the individual trades should be included in today's course of trades data listing.
