I sold TAM,RRL,HEG, and some of my CRK which I was reluctant to sell a lot of because they can be hard to get back into.
I had previously sold CTO, LGL and SBM a few months ago when they were much higher than now, although LGL has been making me nervous by rising and breaking it's down trend line. I almost bought back into LGL at $3.20 but now I am glad I didn't.
Only time will tell but I feel that I will buy back cheaper.
I normally am a very long term holder but of late I am very protective of my capital and I would rather sit on the sideline until I get a clearer picture, kind of like paying insurance.
The price initially rose the night after I sold but the $25 drop Friday night will make this week more interesting.
I totally agree about the fundumentals for gold and do not expect the drop to be longwinded, if it does eventuate, but I do think it is worth the brokerage to get out and then just see what happens.
The drop Friday night was $32.50 Aussie so companies like SBM especially will be hurt by that I feel.
Please do not take this as advice as your guess is certainly as good as mine.
