I think some here do not realise how disruptive the BRN technology will be in this age of innovation especially in the area of Homeland and Civil security.
CCTV cameras have traditionally been used as evidence gathering after incidents have happened or in tracing movements of perps after the fact. A task BRN performs admirably at and saves police resources in process.
However, and this is the game changer for the smart operator, (maybe Israel in Jerusalem with their new smart CCTV to replace the metal detectors) newly deployed CCTV when combined with BRN technology on a chip can be converted to "alert" camera before incidents happen or to capture the most wanted.
Imagine a camera deployed with a BRN low power embedded chip with local storage of "faces to detect" (new faces can be uploaded as they change) then the camera can send an alert to a control centre a "face" has been detected and who, where and when. Security forces can be proactive. Get Jack Reacher !
No need for the cloud or resources to watch - just imagine all the people they will capture "Interpol most wanted".
Now if I was a CCTV seller I would be on to this faster than a speeding bullet to tie up exclusivity. Just check out some of the big names in this field.
How many million CCTV sales expected in next 2-3 years.
Just my thoughts about creative possibilities and a sales pitch.
Certainly changes the complexion of the billion dollar CCTV business. Real time alert CCTV - damn big brother is finally around the corner
