Simple chart analysis indicates that SLR has a no significant support till the 120-100c price zone. In a very skittish market, combined with negative gold sentiment and a growing margin debt pressure (which affects "favoured" and " No longer favoured" stocks alike) market players are liquidating many positions, that they might under other circumstances hold ... especially vulnerable are stocks that have liquidity. Anyone whose ever had a large margined portfolio knows that one bad stock can cause a portfolio to be unwound rapidly .... sell before the losses, like an avalanche, gather momentum .... thats why you always should try to sell before the peak when liquidity favours price retention rather than price sliding.
SLR although it has relatively sound fundamentals, albeit at a relatively high AISC, there are doubts about mine life and where future growth is going to come from .... has the chance for another Doray been missed - if not this is the tonic needed IMHO to stop the SP rot.
Cool Hand doesn't believe in dividends nor share buybacks ... so why hold this stock in a bear market ?
I sold at 140c B4 the peak ... not buying back but would accept SLR shares as part of M&A.
