ENI is a massive company. these drills probably aren't even material to their balance sheet. sure, opening the concept and developing the whole area is material but these are just the first wells.
you often see this - the juniors report every little movement as they have the most leverage to discovery. (thats why we're all here, right?) while the majors leave it for the quarterly or annual reports. investors of companies like ENI are more interested in their production, costs and dividends. some probably even see exploration as a waste of money!
