I'm glad you said IMO.
Because I totally disagree with you,sure RDS is in the exploration phase but this is the most volatile stage of all small caps the stage where they can double quadruple or even do 500/1000% of their prices in a very short amount of time and for the smarts the period can last years as you have stated providing an extended profit periods for those stocks,Take PDN EXT FMG SFR as soon as they become producers the SP levels out or drops.
So to me the exciting bit is the exploration phase and with drills started and results soon to come I feel the is the time to be loading up if you haven't done yet looking at that trendline I don't think they are going to get any cheaper..imo
