To be fair for CoP the drilling is not material to their SP. For KAR it most certainly is. Keeping the market fully informed around material significant developments is the central role of media comms. KAR have been a billion dollar cap company for ~2 years so there is no excuse for them communicating in a less timely manner than a 10 mil tiddler. Even when there is no good news to deliver at least stick with the agreed two weekly updates. Similarly communication around the reasons for the delay in revised D&M numbers as well as progress with the farm-in are deserved by SH (not just those on the inside). Managements failure to convey these messages will lead SH to the conclusion that they don't care about SH. That is not the message that they should be sending out! Sort. it. out. KAR!
