    everyone who has studied Russian history knows that Jews were part of the revolution but not to the extent you seem to think and they were not the drivers of the terror. That was Lenin who was an ideologue.

    maybe you could consider Jewish interest in communism differently. They had Millenia of discrimination and persecution. Much of that driven by religion - their religion and their persecutors religion. They also understood the importance of community. Maybe fit them communism was a way they thought done of these evils might be eliminated.

    what happened in Russia does not and did not reflect Jewish moral principles of in fact the principles of communism. Those who use Russia as some sort of standard of communism do not understand the difference between that and terror.

    in fact Israel got a lot closer in their kibbutzim.
