There is no dispute that many prominent Jewish intellectuals supported Communism, just as many other Jews loathed it and were only too happy to have emigrated to UK or America.
Those who emigrated to Europe were not so lucky, as they got murdered by the Nazis. The author Irene Nemirosky is one such example. She hated communism with a passion, emigrated to Paris, before being rounded up and murdered at Auschwitz.
