Firstly, this tactic of forcing clients to use ATM’s was previously implemented when ATM’s were the latest or the newest technology!

Acceptance in using ATM’S must have been low because most of the banks introduced a fee as a form of financial duress to corral reluctant banking customers onto the ATM’s.
This forcible redirection became a safety issue concerning user’s of ATM’s…some banks wanted to be a point of difference and welcomed customer interaction with tellers. The banking industry finally got the message and removed the reluctant technology penalty!

It appears that BEN has reintroduced this old form of financial coercion because of the reluctance of a percentage client’s to use the digital platform.
This would suggest to me, there must be a reasonable numbers of customers who still prefer to deal with a teller.

The board and management are more concerned on extracting more efficiency by eliminating tellers and using customer’s equipment at no cost to the bank
    as the ideal business model.

All the benefits and convenience spiel in using ATM in getting cash is con job which possibly last only last for short time….most banks are getting rid off ATM’s.
Even dealing with the Post office is simple duck shoving teller’s lines onto another entity!
