I guess he has noticed what the rednecks in France are doing and wants to make sure he and his community is protected.
It sounds sensible and realistic. Moderate elements in the larger is lamic community are also at risk from people like those who have been taken into custody.
Although I wouldnt refer to them as rednecks, I guess any terminology works to describe these dangerous people.
