community perception of rex., page-7

I was reading in the Adelaide Advertiser today that Rex would use about 2000ha of land and would bring in about $300,000,000.00 in royalty's and taxes to the State Gov and employ about 600 people over the life of the mine which is about 15 years.
How many years would it take to do the same as Cereal farm?
At My guess it would be in the thousands of years.
