Biotechs and EVM...actually maybe not since even if what is offered is valueless the market will still value them...
Short-mid term if your willing to accept any level of risk/return it normally doesn't matter unless the price has crashed/shot up in the last week.
Don't avoid stocks with negative sentiment since that just shows negative sentiment has been factored in (If its overwhelming and the stock has weird fundamentals) in the same way don't jump on bandwagons since you WILL lose money.
But yeah if your not willing to accept the risk/return the market factors in buy a dartboard. Long term however you just need a really big bulldust detector or beat most of the market and put it all in an indexed fund but that is boring...
