doesnt mean you cant tell a mate you;re excited about the BUD service and suggesting his business contact BUD or vice versa - as long as there's nothing that hints at a business evaluation, or undertaking.

pro forma letters being mailed out by 3rd parties are a definite no no

You are taking it out of proportion GB. No one in their sane mind would go to those lengths you are referring to.

This is more about the casual conversations you may have with your network.

Some may choose to engage on deeper levels if in the industry. But as some others suggested, a mere introduction wouldn't hurt.
