Hey guys, something I’ve found interesting and maybe others have wondered about this as well.
A few years ago I bought a stock (BPG) which turned out to be dog $*** and got kicked off the ASX and haven’t been heard from. I asked my accountant if I could claim the loss from back then and turns out my only course of action is to sell them to someone else off market. I’ve done research of my own and the only way to realise the loss is if an administrator or liquidator declares in writing that their is no likelihood shareholders will receive any distribution for their shares. Is it possible the loss can never be realised?
