Personally think Murchison was more a board decision than a poor management decision.
It is managment's job to seek out aquisitions, it should have been the boards decision to evaluate Murchison thoroughly before it was purchased and consequently developed.
I doubt Davis can be blamed his skill set is mining/exploration not M@A he had his hands allready full with Daisy Milano
Maybe look at the Boards past performance ....... OMH.
Totally unrelated but it seems to be an endemic problem in Australia of board members taking home big sallaries that they dont deserve as they dont represent shareholders interests nor do they do enough work for the amount they get compensated. Also MDs should not be on the board in many cases as reduces fairness to shareholders ie option allocation, managment remuneration.
