Exactly right.
One of Syntonic's raison d'êtres is to drag back some of the annual 6,000,000,000 of app economy dollars for and on behalf of the telcos whilst taking a micro-cut of each transaction. They aren't going to do that with another app.
Overpass was never going to be let loose. It's not their bag and never has been, it's now just part of the suite of many Freeway white label functions. A $5m bet gone wrong?! I haven't laughed so much since Abbot & Costello were on the box.
