Agreed, no place for waste. Merge is top-heavy for exec roles, however, I am hopeful that is part of a plan to be top heavy to ensure a healthy merge.
re: the disparity in staff costs, you would have to factor in the added roles AVL had for the construction of their new facility and also any roles added thanks to the $49m grant money received for their project. If you have money, you spend money. Get the momentum needed to attract other investors.
