The following should be treated as a piece of fan fiction, and surely nobody would undertake it. In addition, where facts are unknown there have been guesses which could make everything lose all logic. But let us run through what could happen in a fantasy world.

Maybe there is enough public information from Save The Trees or Trees National Coalition, and as I understand it could happen in this fantasy world, because it just couldn't happen in the real world of intelligent people in Australia, beautifully set up for a plaintiff, in the public domain, or caches, to support consideration of a CIVIL claim should someone wish to do so.

The understanding, unfortunately, is that Mr Blood meet Mr Stone in terms of amount of $$$ you would get, plus you would likely put the public purse through another round of public expense via legal aid...... The only option may be to pursue the parents of directors who may know nothing of what has been happening with a company they may blindly have agreed to be directors in another country. Now how crazy is that fantasy situation - could not never happen. The assumption is they may have $$$ to mitigate any shareholder loss caused by them, especially considering the assumption would also be the local directors wouldn't have much to their names. Just not sure they have the full A$120m so everyone gets their bit .

In this hypothetical situation, there may have been a few disgruntled investors interested in a civil claim initially, when the price dropped below 10c, but then the whole situation looked like it was going to resolve itself, and all shareholders were going to be strongly in the black when it went back up to 20c+ and with 30c around the corner, so interest dropped in pursuing a civil claim. But if you then had the timing [IO price and AU$] go wrong and continued vexatious litigation [who would do that in a democracy like Australia] you then find this fantsay situation, and investors, having turned a likely profit for many into a loss.

I know the above could never happen in Australia, but fan fiction is fun.
