If there is not a speedy and acceptable reply, then I think the company and international media, especially the international financial media, needs to descend on LAMP and draw the bright lights of the media onto the plant"


Lynas should highlight to the financial press what this state of the art plant cost to build and the time taken to build it. The number of skilled and semi-skilled jobs that have been created for the locals.These jobs would be all be lost if the plant closed. Lynas should also let the press know the monthly cost of delays to the company. Finally that Lynas is looking at its legal position and a possible law suit against the Government for breach of contract.

If matters are not brought to a satisfactory conclusion in the very near future then the company will commence laying off staff and looking to re-locate the plant to another country that is far more welcoming of foreign direct investment.

If these actions do not get a response from the Malaysian Government then I really have no idea what would.
