Thanks hvacgeek for the video link. It was interesting to find the lithium hydroxide target that Vulcan have set for the future. All targets are largely nominal figures until realised but enough lithium hydroxide for one million EVs per annum is really substantial. At this stage of the game they would have a lot of confidence to state a target of that magnitude.
Still, Francis comes across as quite humble and level headed. I like the way he acknowledges the good work done by other companies in this field.
The development of intellectual property underpinning the company's technology is not to be underestimated - as other VUL HC contributors have stated before. The scale of the resource and proximity of the Vulcan plant elements are so desirable. If German engineering pull this off, as most of us expect, it will be good for the car manufacturers, the municipalities, the shareholders and the planet.
