Hi Plext,

Are you able to divulge the burn temperatures of the BBQ fuels ?
A: Burn temperatures are a function of the air mix during combustion so its difficult to say what are the "burn temps" of the solid fuel. A better was is to divulge the calorific values, which are 18Mj/kg. If burnt with full exposure to the air, burns very cleanly (little to no smoke) and starts very easily.
You can also choke down the air intake and generate smoke to finish off the meat and give it a nice smoky flavour. We used 7.5 kgs of this fuel the other day to test its BBQ performance and it took about 45-50mins for the flames to die down enough to start cooking and then it gave us 2.5 hours cooking time at a steady 150-160 degrees (we wanted slow cooked ribs), we threw in one or two pucks at the end and finished the ribs off with some lovely hardwood smoke.

Will there be sprinklers installed into the new plant for fire mitigation ?
A: Im sure there will be fire protections in the new build.

Whats going on with the MATMOR overseas ruling ?
A: We mentioned in the AGM that we expect that to come back from AusIndustry early in the new year.

Was there any coal delivered by NLC to Australia ?
A: Not yet. We can request the shipping when we have a pressing need to test this coal but we have subordinated all activities to the priority of the BM upgrades project.

Could we not utilise internal staff instead of finding a new production manager ?
A: We need someone senior who has experience in a production environment. We will be using our internal staff for various roles along the way but the most critical asset for ECT over the next few years will be Bacchus Marsh, so its important we have the right expertise for this.
