The Truth of the matter is, Germany has already Embraced Renewable Energy on a Large scale. It's intermittent. It doesn't provide a stable base-load capacity. The Germans already know this. Just listen to what Brendan Dow said at the last Annual Shareholder meeting. Germany is looking to "smoothe out" the intermittent nature of their Renewable Energy (which provides 17% of their total Electricity).
Fuel Cells can provide a constant base-load capacity, via a Decentralised Network (many 1,000's of Fuel Cells across 1,000's homes). Watch this space...
