Hi Mark, the banks actions, by not supporting OZ when we needed them, was what caused the problem.
Why the banking syndicates withdrew their support, we wont fully know, but a large part of it IMO would be sheeted home to the management and board, they were simply not up to the challenges thrown up by the GFC and falling commodity prices.
I honestly think that most who read this post would not look at annual reports and check current and non-current liabilities, before purchasing stock, that IMO is now just being used as an 'escape' to make a legal case, but I agree it shouldnt have happened.
I also hope that TB isnt shackeled by past mgmt/board actions/inactions, and he can give us 'HIS' vision of what he would like do, my concern now is the cycle may be peaking, inventories are climbing and commodity prices are ahead of themselves IMO, not the time to be buying producing mines, though spending a couple of hundred mill on getting Martabe up, that would be money well spent....
Sorry, I forgot we sold that off in the great garage sale, funny, thats what happens when you give something away, you havnt got it when you need it.
Come on Terry, get us excited again..
cheers grant
