Böckeler takes the time to explain the individual measures to the guests.Philipp Kramer was recently appointed as the new Quality & Audit manager by the Dorint management. The hygiene officer immediately created a comprehensive catalog of new, additional measures and activities and also developed completely new safety standards. Through a webinar, he familiarized all employees in the connected hotels with the additional health and hygiene measures.The hotel group has christened its “StaySafe by Dorint” program. This is based on an eight-pillar concept that takes into account both the classic “guest journey” and how employees and suppliers are dealt with. Below is a selection of the measures:Strategic hygiene concept, certification in planningSo-called lobby managers are employed in all Dorint Group companies. These proactively regulate the flow of guests and visitors so that there are no significant traffic jams and waiting times, for example at the reception. They also point out a QR code to the guest, which explains all the comprehensive safety and hygiene rules.The hotel rooms are sprayed with a highly effective long-term disinfectant, Zoono. After such a misting, the surface quality immediately reduces the germs and makes them harmless. This process is repeated every 25 days since the effects of Zoono last up to 30 days.All toilets and wash basins are additionally disinfected and sealed after cleaning. The Dorint seal is also used elsewhere (see video below).All dishes, starting with breakfast, are served on trays. With a significantly broader range of food and drinks, room service is increasingly being used everywhere. All dishes are covered, some even completely wrapped in cling film.The Dorint Houses, which are finally allowed to accommodate individual and business travelers again according to the different regional regulations, will now be inspected by the hygiene officer Philipp Kramer in accordance with the new "StaySafe by Dorint" concept with internal audits / checks.In order to obtain an independent certification for the hotels with regard to the new safety and hygiene measures in a second step, Dorint Managing Director Jörg T. Böckeler is currently in an intensive exchange with Certified Managing Director Till Runte. However, the certificate being developed should be relevant beyond Corona and, beyond legal requirements, reflect the needs of guests.Böckeler also went on a hygiene tour of the hotel in a video. In this way, the COO wants to bring the individual measures closer to the guests and promote trust.
