Can someone compare Nomad's (NOD) business against Fleetwood (FWD)? How much of Fleetwood's revenue is directly comparable to the manufactured accomodation business that Nomad has? Obviously the recreational vehicle segment of Fleetwood is not comparable.
One thing I am noticing is that both businesses show huge fluctuations in sales one quarter to the next, but somehow Fleetwood always manages to turn up a very similar level of net earnings even at very low sales leves. How do they manage that trick?
One of the key problems Nomad has at present is cost. The cost of manufacturing in Australia is just too high to compete against Asian based manufacturing. How much of Fleetwood's accomodation manufacturing is in Asia versus Australia?
