    your way off, firstly in the mining industry everything is based around extrapolation...in these type of deposits where the stratigraphy is very consistent it is not that big an issue to extrapolate over many kilometres..so it is incorrect imo to weight the data to length in this case. though the longer the trench the more representative the data is at a particular location.

    Rewards slowest trench is 38m / 1.8m3 /hr or 2.36m3 per 50m trench hour so given all their other trenches are flowing quicker than this your number of 1.63m3 / 50m / hr is impossible no matter how you weight it...I get a roughly 18m3 if you weight to length and cut out PT02 which looks to be an outlier. the straight average of 8m3 / 50m / hr is more accurate though. weighting to trench length is not right in salt horizontal salt lakes imo, but you have to make sure your trenches are representative of the horizon you want to drain and the longer the better at each location.
