    It's not extrapolation! It's done BETWEEN several drill holes. Not from one and assume it remains constant for an arbitrary distance, and in the end those holes are relatively close together. Let's assume the shortest trench of 20m. Is it then reasonable to multiply it be 50x to get your flow over a kilometre?

    The brine is consistent; I agree with you. But the flow rate is not. They say it themselves...."However it is also noted that narrow layers of coarse gypsum crystals frequently occurred within dense clay zones and heavy brine flow occurred from these layers".
