I'm also annoyed at not selling on the T/O offer (lesson learned, always sell on a T/O if it sees the price skyrocket. You can always buy back in if it doesn't go through and falls back to previous levels). I sold in the last couple of weeks at around $1.40. Reason being is that I bought this stock as a growth stock at ~$2.15, which is what is was priced as at the time (a growth stock). My thoughts at the time were that they seemed to be a leader in the field, had no debt and an extremely high ROE. Since then, it's not worked out like that growth wise for a number of reasons, primarily IMO other new players having a better offering and the low barriers to entry for FX. So OFX has been rerated as a low growth stock. Will be interesting to watch on to see how their foray into the US goes.

While I think this is still a good company with good prospects, it's going to be difficult to get back to being rerated to a growth P/E again I think. It's not going broke any time soon though that's for sure. Unless another T/O offer comes I don't see it going back up to >$2 levels very soon. It's probably fairly valued atm. Many are falling into the anchoring trap and hoping it to get back to where it was.

My strategy to investing has also changed over the last couple of years (I'm still fairly inexperienced), so I don't really go for growth companies too much anymore, especially when people are expecting high growth (BAL & BKL are classic examples). I've seen too many fail to achieve it and come crashing down to earth to see it as a viable long term strategy for an amateur like myself. Personally this company no longer fits into my strategy (I'm still adjusting it, learning as I go along, only playing with relatively small amounts), so it kind of made sense to sell and put the money into companies that better fit my strategy (and hopefully have better prospects for share price growth).
