Yes it is a bit puzzling that the on ground aspect of the field season hasn't begun yet. I have been looking for activity on Sentinel but not seen anything as of the last pass 3/5. Yellow marker is where I suspect they camped last year. Crean drilling area around the blue shape which shows two sites (91, 92) well and the subtle 93 in the east.
Quite often an announcement when folks start making comments like yours.
WA1 have not been doing any obvious extensional work over the last couple of months. There has been an apparent low level of activity at sites prepared, and/or drilled in 2023. There is a diamond rig on site so they may be using old sites and drilling deeper which would be extensional/infill just not visible from Sentinel other than as activity at a site.
Ex cyclone Megan delayed RCR's program. Put lots of water in lakes. Dried out enough for RCR to come back in but not ENR for 24.
Site clearances? Site preparation may be dependent on the availability of an earth mover from WA1. Not available? Major effort to source one which just takes time.
